How's Annie doing?

It has been awhile since I have posted an update on Annie. I am happy to say that when we went to our parent teacher conference in November we were given great news. Annie has been moved out of her classroom because she has become a top achiever in that class. This means that Annie is using her listening skills and not relying on her sign language reading abilities to follow instructions. She is talking more (even though we have to ask her to sign to figure out what she is talking about.). The school is moving her into a classroom where she will have children to model up to and learn to use her voice and gain better speech skills.

On the same day we went to Annie’s conference we also attend Lizzy’s 1st grade parent teacher conference. Lizzy is doing awesome! She has gotten moved into the advanced reading group and is excelling in math and science. Looks like I got some smart cookies on my hands!!

The Sunday after thanksgiving Annie and attend a birthday party and Lizzy and Daddy went to a very special Daddy Daughter date night. The birthday party was at the local YMCA and in the preschool gym. Annie who 8 months prior could not crawl on all fours or walk up stairs unassisted did great!!
