February?!?!?! How in the heck did I manage to not post a blog since February?!?!?! Sooo much has been going on around here. In March my sister had a baby. With the arrival of the baby we discovered that Annie's true calling in life is that of Baby Hog!!
Lizzy was very happy to be holding Auntie Boo's baby. Annie would let her as long as she could supervise.
In May Annie turned 4.
Annie's birthday breakfast was sausage, sausage, sausage, ketchup and a little bit of eggs.
Birthday dinner was Spaghetti and what else...Sausage!
Neither girls is fond of cake so we had Birthday French Silk Pie.
The big birthday gift was a Princess Ariel bicycle. As you can see she was excited to take MeiMei bear on a tour of the drive way.
At Lizzy's end of year Spring Sing she had a solo/speaking part! She was very excited.
Annie's school year ended with a small party at school. Her teacher Miss. Kim gave her a certificate of completion. At the same time we also found out that Miss. Kim will be Annie teacher next year as well.
We started our summer off with a "School is Out!" party at Jeralynn's house with our play group friends.
The first full week of Summer Vacation Lizzy spent participating in a Cheer camp with a friend she has had since she was 18 months old. Molly, and Lizzy also got to enjoy several sleep over this week and just enjoyed the heck out of each other.
Look at that little elf-ish smile.
Lizzy and Molly belting it out. When these girls are on the job you had better have team spirit or suffer their wrath :)
It is hard to tell in this picture but Lizzy is actually being held up in the air but the two little girls underneath her. That is a teenager behind her spotting her. Lizzy's favorite part of Cheer camp was "when they throw me around!" Oh the joys of being the mom of a "flyer"
Since Annie's birthday is in May and Lizzy's is in July we split the difference and had the family party in June.
As part of their joint Birthday gift LaoLao and Papa joined us for their very first ever American Girl doll and trip to the store.
On July 3rd we headed out to Lake Summerset and spent the day at the beach hanging out with cousins and friends that may as well be family.
Guess who got over her fear of the water. This is posing a problem because she has become fearless. We owe a lot of this lack of fear in the water to LaoLao. LaoLao has made it her mission to show Annie that water is fun. She seems to have done the job a little to well.
On the 4th of July Daddy was super Daddy and marched in the parade again with Lizzy. We always swear that we are never doing this again. Then we see Lizzy's face light up as she cartwheels and round offs down Main street. She loves to pass out the candy and be with her friends. She is sooo proud of being a tumbler. As much as she loves Cheerleading when given the opportunity to do cheering she thought about it and said "Mommy I can be a cheerleader in High School. I don't want to give up tumbling."
Alex sharing the candy collection with Annie
Proud Daddy waving at the crowd.
She's off!
Is that a happy girl or what!?!
We spent our evening at Ty Warner again. A good time was had by all. Annie spent her time being a baby hog and exclaiming "Sparkle!" such a change over the scared little girl from last year who only wanted to hide her head and cling to mommy.
On July 5th Annie started Summer School and that will have her busy for most of the month of July. On the week of Lizzy's 7th birthday she attend a Mandarin Immersion Folk Arts camp and loved it.
Most 7 year olds when given their choice of foods for their birthday dinner might have suggestions such as McDonald's, Culver's, Taco's or spaghetti. Not my darling!
Proudly pointing out what she wanted for her Birthday dinner.
With her Miso Soup waiting for her Sushi.
They heard us talking about it being Lizzy's birthday so they brought her a treat.
What would a birthday for Lizzy be with out a trip to Build-a-Bear!
Showing off their loot.
What a perfect way to end our first day as a 7 year old. Ice Cream and family :)
