Memorial Day Weekend…….

We packed so much fun into this weekend it is just crazy!!! On Friday we went to go hang out with the Rattigan Family. Lizzy and their daughter Sarah lived together in China. Momma Rattigan is also fostering a momma cat and her kittens. One of the kittens is going to become Princess Sushi Edomame Noodles whom Lizzy has graciously allowed us to shorten to Princess Sushi. Lizzy was very excited to visit with both Sarah and Sushi while us adults visited. Our evening came to abrupt end when Sarah fell and knocked her mouth hard enough to knock out her adult tooth and needed to be rushed to the emergency dentist. They were able to wired the tooth back in but at this point we don’t know if the tooth will survive. Say a prayer for Sarah and her tooth.

On Saturday we met-up with Annie’s travel group. One of the families has 4 kids the other family has 2 kids and we have the 2 girls so that made for a total of 8 kiddos!! It was a crazy fun time. The afternoon ended with all of the 2 an/or 3 year olds in the tub together getting hosed off! It is safe to say that a fun time was had by all!

On Sunday we went out to Wisconsin to enjoy Chocolate Fest and time with friends. Since we beat everyone to the fest we took the kids to the carnival portion of the fest and Annie went on her first carnival ride. We made a mistake and put her on the little dragon rollercoaster first. Yeah she was not a fan. By the end of the ride she was slunk down real low in her seat and howling.  Yes that means that it was my kid that made the ride stop early.

 

After that she rode in the train, the airplanes and the cars. She ended her carnival riding time with a trip on the big Ferris Wheel with Daddy and Lizzy.

By the time our friends go there we were roasting and ready for the beach. The Miksons were there and so were several of Jeralyn’s family members and friends that we have come to know over the years. A great time was had by all. A big big thank you to Jer’s brother Mike, Annie was playing in the lake and lost her footing. Since she is so lite she couldn’t get her feet back under her and it was a bit of a scary situation. He got to her before me and other than being a little shook up she was and is just fine. Although she was a little hesitant she did get back into the water to play with mommy. 

 

I do think Annie's favorite part of Sunday was when she discovered Oreo cookies.

Today, Monday we did nothing! It was great. We fold some laundry and bummed around the house. It was delightful. I made yummy beer brats for dinner and ended the long fun filled weekend with Dairy Queen! A good time was had by all…..Happy Summer!!!!
