Today March 8, 2010 we completed the adoption of Yu Ya Li officially making her our daughter Annamarie Chase-Yali Szynal.
After signing our names on everything we then had to put a thumbprint over our signature to seal it and make it official. Annie Yali had to agree to everything by having her foot put in blue ink and placing her footprint on the documents.
We have gotten to hear Annie’s laugh and see her smile. It has been a great day. She is doing some babbling and agreeing with me right now J
Since this morning it has become offical Mommy now has a small Chinese shadow. Where Mommy goes Annie Yali is sure to follow. Maybe I should call her my little lamb and change my name to Mary?
The two woman holding the children are the director of the orphanage for foregin affairs. The younger woman grew up in the orphanage and is now one of the nannies that travel with the director for every foreign adoption.
